Pencil Artwork
Pencil has always been my favorite medium to work with. Forgiving yet messy, graphite shading gives a full range of contrast ability. My later works are all done on cold-pressed cotton watercolor paper, which grabs the graphite well, giving me nice dark blends. I normally employ a .5mm HB graphite in a mechanical pencil without burnishing or smudging the media, which gives me areas of absolute white to contrast the dark edges. Larger works in pencil have taken much time and patience to accomplish, and I have to admit, more then I normally can provide since devoting time to website development.
